I continue to make progress, this is as much a learning activity as it is a useful tool development activity. That is partially a reason it hasn’t fully consumed me, yet. Because I keep telling myself the point isn’t to build something functional, it is to develop as a programmer on a small to mid size codebase.

This is inherently a useful goal.

As it stands I do not think I’ve built anything special, certainly nothing that cannot be as easily accomplished with obsidian and friends. Any tool that lets you do markdown, I don’t think there’s anything unique here

📓 SQLish being an obvious exception, and the 📝 Git based Overlay Filesystem as well. That said, anyone who wants to do serious things should probably use one of those.

I plan to keep working on this adding features, here and there. It is a nice feeling to build something, although usually that feeling is more mixed as I encounter a bug or missing feature that would be available in another product. But this of course is the complement of using another tool, one where I would butt up against missing features and struggle if it was something I felt I could add easily.
